This Privacy Policy describes how Tgr ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our service, Willist (the "Service"), available as a web application and a mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the Service.

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, password (stored as a hash), and username.
  • Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information for your profile, such as a display name, avatar, biography, a personal link, and interests (hashtags).
  • Communications: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information such as the contents of your message and the email address you used to contact us.
  • User Content: We collect the content you create, including "wils" (posts), captions, media (photos, videos), comments, likes, reposts, shares, and votes.
  • Messages: We collect messages you send and receive through our chat feature, including private messages and group chats within "crews".
  • Log and Usage Data: We automatically collect log information, including your IP address, browser type (user-agent), referring URLs, pages visited, view counts, and timestamps.
  • Device Information (Mobile): When you use the mobile application, we collect device identifiers, operating system version, app version, language settings, and crash logs.
  • Advertising Identifiers: Where you have not opted out, we and our advertising partners collect mobile advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads.
  • Push Notification Tokens: When you enable push notifications, we receive a device token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) or the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) so we can deliver notifications to your device.
  • Device Permissions (Mobile): With your permission, we may access your camera, photo library, microphone, and storage to allow you to upload media. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
  • Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and administer our Service, including to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies, but some parts of our Service may not function properly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve our Service.

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Service
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our Service
  • Communicate with you, including for service-related announcements, push notifications, and customer support
  • Ensure security, detect and prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Understand and analyze how you use our Service
  • Display advertisements within the Service and measure their performance

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors that perform services on our behalf.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): To host the Service, store your data including media files (S3), and send transactional emails (SES).
  • Google AI: To provide specific features within the Service using Google Generative AI (for example, AI-powered recommendations).
  • Firebase (Google): To deliver push notifications and analyze crash reports.
  • Google AdMob: To serve advertisements in the mobile application and measure ad performance.
  • Google AdSense: To serve advertisements on the web application and measure ad performance.
  • Analytics Services: To understand how the Service is used (for example, Google Analytics).
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid request by public authorities.

4. Advertising

We display advertisements within the Service through Google AdMob (mobile) and Google AdSense (web). These partners may use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver ads that are relevant to you and to measure ad performance.

You can limit ad personalization in your device settings: on Android, open Settings → Google → Ads to reset or delete your advertising ID; on iOS, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. On the web, you may opt out of personalized advertising at https://adssettings.google.com.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before serving personalized ads using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and to comply with our legal obligations.

  • Account information is deleted or anonymized within 30 days from the date of account withdrawal. However, where retention is required by applicable law, the data is stored separately and securely for the required period.
  • User content (wils, comments, messages) is deleted when you delete the content or your account. Backups containing the data are overwritten in our regular backup cycle (up to 90 days).
  • Access logs and usage data are retained for up to 12 months for security, fraud prevention, and analytics purposes.

6. International Data Transfers

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. By using our Service, you consent to this transfer. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability.

You can manage your profile, change your password, and delete your account directly within the app at any time. Account deletion is available in Settings → Account → Delete Account.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 14 (Republic of Korea), 13 (United States), or 16 (European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, hashed password storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice within the Service or by other reasonable means at least 7 days before the changes take effect (or 30 days if the changes adversely affect your rights).
